Get your heart pounding by taking a zip line ride through the Cloud forest canopy. Among the dozens of options, definitely the best is Sky Trek, where you'll whizz along 1.7 miles of cables slung between towering trees. To get to the zip line, you'll ride the Sky Tram (included in the Sky Trek experience), which offers a panoramic views of Monteverde hills and Nicoya gulf.

You will ride an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you'll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views of the gulf and cloud forest. From this area, choose to return to the ground below by riding the gondola back down or opt for a faster trip by riding down on a zip line stretching across canyons and between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins, ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building.This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

from a bird's-eye view. You'll whiz from lofty platform to platform via horizontal traverse cables, and while you're moving too fast to see much wildlife it's definitely a thrill. Our two-hour tours run between 7.30am and 1:30pm.

Built an industrial-strength, high-angle, breakneck-speed bona fide thrill ride and people love it. The zip line is simply there to add a little perspective so you can tell how high you are or how fast you’re going, and it adds a nice background to the photographs as well.

SkyTrek is similar to other canopy tours in Costa Rica, but incorporates some significant differences, such as being of larger scale, with more ziplines and platforms. Further, the construction is of the highest quality, utilizing protective and secure materials, including metal platforms covered with mesh-covered steel rails which prevent falling or sliding. We will provide you the helmet, gloves and harnesses of the best quality in the world, so you will get the safest and most comfortable exciting experience that you will never forget!

Combination tours are available with Sky Walk (Suspended Bridges/Hanging Bridges) and with Skytek (Ziplines) and Skytram (Cable Car).

There are currently ten zip line cables and they range in height from 40 meters to 100 meters and in length from 100 meters to 750 meters.

Before leaving the main building to start your tour, you will be fitted with all of the necessary safety equipment (harness, helmet, gloves); which the guides will take care to properly adjust. Afterwards the guides will deliver a safety speech detailing proper form and the innovative braking system.

In the event of lightening or winds exceeding 120 km/h (75mph) Sky Trek will cancel its tours for safety reasons; with lesser wind or rain only serving to add to the excitement, and speed, of the zipline tour.

Sky Tram is a guided tour where you can have the opportunity to observe the cloud forest outstanding biodiversity, the majestic Arenal Volcano and the Nicoya Gulf.

The Sky Walk Hanging Bridges it’s a more tranquil introduction to the ecology and natives of the forest canopy. This tour is great to see the canopy from the top of the trees and watch many birds and monkeys.

Within its modern and spacious exhibition space, a natural environment has been created so that you can have a safe and wonderful opportunity to learn about the fauna of Costa Rica. Here you can view over 40 species of both poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, reptiles, frogs, lizards, iguanas, other amphibians, and some turtles.

This brand new complex its located right next to the Sky Tram station, here you can enjoy a short walk surrounded by hummingbirds of different species and nature. The trail has benches to sit and enjoy the scenery and is even suitable for wheelchairs.
